Ennistymon Workhouse was located at Lehinch, between Ennistymon and Lahinch. In 1850-51 it had accommodation for 900 people. The attached Hospital had accommodation for 50 patients.Return of Deaths in Ennistymon Workhouse, from 25 March 1850 to 25 March 1851.

The British Parliment passed separate poor laws for Ireland. Keep in mind this is the death records of ONE YEAR. Note the time elapsed between date of admission and date of death, as well as the ages of the dead. I'm sure Darwin would have been dismayed that some of those are in the two figures.
